Sustainability

Sustainability and Responsibility at Lapland Winter Park

At Lapland Winter Park, sustainability is a holistic principle that touches every aspect of our operations. We are committed to caring for people, nature, and the economy in a long-term and responsible way.

Sustainability is demonstrated in our daily actions. We take care of the environment by planting trees and building birdhouses to support local bird populations. We also create hiding places for pollinators to help protect biodiversity.

From the very beginning, we have embraced recycling. During the construction phase of Lapland Winter Park, all possible waste was sent to recycling centers. We continue to prioritize recycling, and minimizing waste is a matter of pride for us. Additionally, we actively guide our guests in recycling and provide the necessary facilities to make it easy and accessible for everyone. We aim to reduce food waste as much as possible by carefully planning our meals and encouraging mindful consumption.

We use an energy-efficient geothermal heating system, which significantly reduces the energy required for heating and lowers our carbon footprint. Our buildings are well-insulated to maximize energy savings, and we also employ energy-efficient lighting solutions. Whenever possible, we favor renewable energy sources in our operations.

We take special care of the park’s reindeer, nurturing them with love and ensuring their well-being throughout the year.

Our employees are one of our greatest assets, and we ensure their welfare by providing a safe and fair working environment.

In our marketing, we emphasize responsible choices, and economically, we aim for sustainable growth that benefits both the local community and the environment.

Lapland Winter Park is committed to acting responsibly now and in the future, so that both visitors and the local environment can thrive for decades to come.
